Security Monitoring

24/7 Live CCTV Monitoring

Recording tells you what happened yesterday. Live monitoring tells you what is happening now. Our operators watch compatible camera feeds on the schedule you choose and act on what they see.

Most cameras are only reviewed after something has already gone wrong. Netex Security changes the order of events: a trained operator is watching while the activity is still taking place, which means unusual behaviour can be verified and reported the same night rather than discovered on a hard drive a week later.

The service connects to compatible cameras you already own. There is no requirement to buy new hardware, replace an existing NVR, or switch camera brands, provided your current system can be accessed securely and produces usable images.

What our operators do on a live shift

  • Watch assigned camera feeds continuously during the hours you have selected
  • Focus attention on the zones you have marked as important, such as entrances, yards, stockrooms, and cash areas
  • Assess unusual activity before it is reported, so you are not woken by shadows and passing traffic
  • Follow your written escalation instructions exactly, in the order you set
  • Provide live updates while an incident is still developing
  • Log every notable event with a timestamp and camera reference

Schedules you can choose

Full 24-hour cover is available, but most clients start with the hours where their risk actually sits.

  • Continuous 24/7 monitoring across all seven days
  • Overnight monitoring from closing time to opening time
  • Weekend and public holiday cover
  • Shutdown periods, seasonal closures, and planned holidays
  • Specific high-risk windows such as cash collection or delivery slots
  • Mixed schedules that differ by location

What you receive in writing

  • Daily activity reports summarising the shift
  • Incident reports for events that met your escalation criteria
  • Event timestamps and camera identifiers for footage retrieval
  • Weekly and monthly summaries on request
  • Camera health notes when a feed is lost, blocked, or moved

Monitoring scope

Our operators monitor visible activity within the available camera coverage. Netex Security does not guarantee that all theft, crime, loss, misconduct, or emergencies will be detected or prevented.

Technical requirements

Monitoring outcomes depend on camera placement, image quality, lighting, internet availability, and the monitoring hours you select. Cameras must be reachable through an approved, client-authorised access method.

Full conditions applying to every Netex Security service are set out on the Service Limitations page.

Questions

Questions about 24/7 live cctv monitoring

Is the monitoring done by people or by software?

By people. Trained operators watch the feeds on shift. We do not present automated motion alerts as human verification, and every escalation you receive has been looked at by an operator before it reaches you.

Do I need to buy new cameras?

No. The service is built around compatible cameras you already own. During the CCTV risk review we confirm whether your existing NVR, DVR, or cloud platform can be monitored securely, and we tell you plainly if part of your system is not suitable.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Feeds delivered over your connection become unavailable to us, and we report the loss according to your instructions. This is one reason camera health monitoring is included: you are told when a feed stops rather than discovering it later.

Can you monitor several sites under one agreement?

Yes. Multi-location clients keep a single monitoring protocol, a single reporting structure, and site-specific contact lists. See multi-location CCTV monitoring.
