Threat Detection and Verification
Verification is the difference between an alert and an interruption. Every escalation from Netex Security has been looked at by an operator first.
Automated systems raise alerts on movement. Movement is not a threat: it is a cat, a flag, a delivery driver, or rain on a lens. When every one of those becomes a phone call, people stop answering, and the one call that mattered gets missed.
Our operators sit between the camera and your phone. They watch, they assess what is visible, and only then do they act on your escalation instructions. You get fewer contacts, and the ones you get are worth reading.
Test this service on your own cameras
Three nights of live human monitoring, a written CCTV risk review, and reports covering what was observed. No new equipment required.
Activity our operators observe
- Theft and attempted theft in view of the cameras
- Trespassing and access outside permitted hours
- Loitering near entrances, shutters, vehicles, or stock
- Vandalism and damage to property
- Suspicious individuals behaving inconsistently with the location
- Suspicious vehicles, repeat passes, and obstructed plates
- Unauthorised entry and restricted-area access
- Package theft and parcel interference
- Cargo theft and trailer interference
- Inventory being removed outside expected processes
- Aggressive or threatening customer behaviour
- Fire, smoke, flooding, or other unusual visible conditions
How verification works in practice
- The operator identifies the activity and the camera it appeared on
- The scene is assessed against your written monitoring protocol
- Where possible, adjacent cameras are checked to build context
- The operator decides whether the activity meets your escalation threshold
- If it does, escalation begins immediately and continues with live updates
- If it does not, the event is still logged and appears in your report
Service Conditions
Our operators monitor visible activity within the available camera coverage. Netex Security does not claim that every incident will be detected, and does not guarantee prevention of crime or loss.
Verification quality follows image quality. Poor lighting, obstructed lenses, low frame rates, and long camera distances all reduce what an operator can reliably confirm.
Full conditions applying to every Netex Security service are set out on the Service Limitations page.

Questions about threat detection and verification
How is this different from motion detection?
Motion detection reports that pixels changed. Verification reports what a trained person saw, whether it matched your escalation criteria, and what they did next. The second is actionable; the first usually is not.
Can you tell the difference between a customer and a thief?
An operator can describe behaviour that is visible on camera, such as concealment, repeated passes, or interference with stock. They do not make legal determinations. What you receive is an observation and supporting footage references, not an accusation.
What happens to events that do not meet the threshold?
They are logged. Patterns often only become visible across a week of low-level events, which is why the daily report includes activity that did not warrant a call.
